A AnchorMind

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 July 2026

AnchorMind (“AnchorMind,” “we,” “us”) provides an AI phone assistant, Val, that answers calls for home-service businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Two different groups of people appear in this policy, and it matters which one you are:

1. What we collect from Customers

2. What we collect from Callers

When someone calls a business using Val, we process, on that business’s behalf:

Call recording is a legal obligation you share with us. Some US states require every person on a call to consent before it is recorded. Customers are responsible for making sure Val’s greeting and their own practices comply with the laws where they and their callers are located. We provide the recording feature and the ability to turn it off; we do not provide legal advice. See section 9.

3. Why we process it

PurposeData used
Answering calls and booking jobsCaller details, recordings, transcripts
Setting up and running your accountAccount details, usage
Turning on business textingLegal name, EIN, address
Buying you a phone numberIdentity verification result
BillingStripe billing data
Support and improving the serviceUsage, and transcripts where necessary

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the vendors that make the service work:

VendorRole
TwilioPhone numbers, calls and texts
LiveKitCarries the live audio of the call
DeepgramTurning speech into text, and Val’s voice
xAIGenerating Val’s replies
ResendSending your lead alerts and sign-in links
StripePayments
Cloudflare, Fly.ioWebsite and application hosting

We may also disclose information if legally required, or as part of a sale of the business.

4a. Text messages

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or your customers’ phone numbers with anyone for marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for text messaging are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

Where texting is switched on for a Customer’s account, Val asks each caller for permission before sending them a text. Messages are limited to things about their own job — for example a booking confirmation, a reminder before the visit, or a reply to a call we missed. Message frequency varies by how often they book; typically fewer than 5 messages per job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

5. Who owns the caller data

Caller data belongs to the Customer whose business was called. We process it on their instructions. If you are a Caller and want your information corrected or deleted, contact the business you called; you can also contact us and we will pass your request to them.

6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell it), and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Email us and we will respond within the time your law requires. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia, and individuals in the UK and EU, have specific rights under their local laws.

8. Security

Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it. Data is encrypted in transit. Credentials and tokens are stored as secrets, never in our source code. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; if a breach affects your data we will notify you as required by law.

9. Recording, AI, and honesty about what Val is

Val is software, not a person. Calls answered by Val may be recorded and transcribed. Customers control whether recording is on, and what Val says when she answers. Both Customers and AnchorMind may have legal duties to disclose recording and automated systems, and those duties vary by state and change over time. Customers are responsible for their own compliance and for configuring their greeting accordingly.

10. Children

AnchorMind is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. Material changes will be emailed to Customers.

12. Contact
